Believing is achieving

Autumn

Thank you to all the parents who came to our open morning. The children were proud to be able to share with you their Stone Age jewellery and their Home Learning.

Writing

Children have written a setting description and a diary about the Blue Penguin. They really got into the role and enjoyed describing the Blue Penguin's journey from a lonely and friendless penguin to one that is included and loved.

Reading

Continuing our theme of penguins, the children thoroughly enjoyed learning about Otto and The Penguin who wanted to find. They found out that Emperor Penguins are born fluffy and gradually lose all their downy feathers to have the black 'skin' we see on adult penguins. They found Otto to be very funny and definitely cheeky!

Art

We made Stone Age jewellery out of salt dough and decorated our necklaces using natural products found in the environment.
