Maths Intent

 

To teach children to progressively develop their rapid recall of number facts and mathematical vocabulary so they are able to make connections in their learning and successfully solve problems in a range of contexts. Children are encouraged to justify and reason their approaches and calculations using concrete resources, pictorial representations and age-appropriate formal written methods.
